2016 Banjo Cycles Summer Cyclocross Series

Summary: Now in it’s 4th year the Banjo Cycles Summer Cyclocross Series returns with their 6 week Thursday evening summer cross series. All races are run in Goldwell Park in Newbury town centre on a course that is mostly grass with small sections of gravel path.

There is a series long points collection based on finishing position in each round (best 5 placings will count) and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 riders in the Under 12’s race, Under 16’s race, Junior & Senior Men combined, Veteran Men combined, and Women.

This is a Go Cross event and is open to all (no licences required).

Additional notes: Due to overwhelming attendance in previous years, this year riders are encouraged to complete a pre-entry form prior to the event. This will help the organisers get information into the results system more quickly, and guarantee entry to the race.

Pre-entry will be available from the Friday before each round until midday on the day of the race. Payment will still be made on the day at the event.

Entry on the day will still be available however entry is restricted to no more than 100 riders.

Toilet and changing facilities are available at the cricket club across the road. Car parking is pay-and-display at a cost of £1 per car. Please do not park at the nearby leisure centre.
